The Design Details

Arriving on island with an impressive collection of mid-century furniture and art, this New York City transplant wanted to incorporate her existing pieces in an eco-friendly Caribbean style.

It was an honor to help make the decisions about what we could use from her existing collection, how we could update or modify a few pieces to make them work and what we needed to add to bring the complete vision to life.

The home boasts a kitchen and living room that are open to one another and the outdoors. Architectural details like breeze block were added to connect the home to the mid-century furnishings and style.

We reupholstered a few pieces to fit with the new color scheme, reclaimed an outdated apartment as a beautiful home office, updated the kitchen with new finishes and added more functional space by shifting the island into the room. Now gourmet meals are a breeze to cook.
